How do you measure the unseen? Think about it.
How can you measure someone’s spiritual growth? As you may know,
almost 1000 members and attenders of The MET took a spiritual survey
called REVEAL earlier this year. For the last few weeks, in fact
months, you’ve heard us discussing the results of that survey. We
discovered that there are four different categories that we all tend to
fall into.
-
Exploring Christianity
-
Growing in Christ
-
Close to Christ
-
Christ Centered
Obviously, the goal for all of us is to become Christ-centered,
where Christ is the center of our lives and the source of our lives.
After the REVEAL survey was completed by the first couple of hundred
churches, Greg Hawkins and Cally Parkinson wrote a book entitled, REVEAL and the subtitle is compelling. It simply says, “Where Are You?”
I think we all need to ask that question on a regular basis: Where
am I? Where am I in my walk with Christ? What steps do I need to take
to grow in my faith? Until we ask the question “Where am I?” we’ll
never grow into our full potential in Christ.
How about it? Where are you?
Once you've answered that question, find your next step through our Discovery Class, Catalyst classes on Wednesday evenings, or our Sunday morning Life Groups.
Once you know where you are, it's time to discover where you're going!
