Fruitful- Love... The Check Up and The Challenge

Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. It is not rude, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth.  It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails.  -1 Corinthians 13:4-8a

The Love CheckUp:

Who are you not patient with?
Who are you not kind towards?
    Who are you envious of?
Who do you have to be better than?
Who do you lower your standards for?
    Who can you not support?
    Who sets you off quickly?
Who do you keep score with?
Who do you think everyone should “know about”?

The Love Challenge:

    Will you support them?
    Will you trust them?
    Will you hope with them?
    Will you hang with them?

A friend of mine that attended this service today told me I should have came because she felt that it might be good for me & my boyfriend. We have been dating for a while and feel that having a strong bond, not just within ourselves, but centered on our faith with God is what will keep us real together. I was wondering if you had a recorded video or footage of the service. My boyfriend and I would love to watch it.

Sam,

I am currently a member at the Jones Rd. location and saw your entry while reading up on the Fry Rd. location.

First - I will pray for you and your request right now -
- Dear God - please be with Sam now in this time of uncertanty in the world we live in, and specifically in his search for employment. We praise you for your love and the gifts you give us daily, and ask that you forgive our trespasses as we work every day to stay in your will. I pray that you will comfort him and let him know your prescence through this time, so that he will arrive to see that this is in your hands. I pray that you will be done in this and all circumstances, and the trials we suffer be to your glory. If it is your will this job is right for him, let there be signs and re-assurance to help guide him, and help him to make choices that keep him in your will. - Amen

Second- I think it is awesome you have been to visit - I need to come to that campus and see the things I have heard about from everyone here at the other campus! I know that for our campus, we were encouraged to visit several small groups before we settled on one - the close connections you make when you feel comfortable enough to let your guard down are one of the most important part of our experience since we have been members. I would strongly encourage you to speak to someone on your very next visit, ask for a recommendation based on the kind of group you are looking for, and then visit some groups. We were a little nervous when my wife and I first started visiting, but you will know it when you are in a group that "fits" so don't give up!

If you don't have any luck or have any questions - I'll be glad to help as well, please email me! And good luck on your job search!

Sincerely,

Will Scott

Hey Jeff,

Please know that I (and others) will be praying for you... It grieves me that you and your family are going through this stressful time. Keep trusting in the Lord. He will honor your prayers, obedience, and faith. If I can help minister to your family in any way, then please let me know.

God Bless,

I loved the series about the book of Ruth.My wife's name is Naomi and I have 2 sons so it could be a prophesy 4 us. I signed up 4 a small group but my grandson Joe was diagnosed with swine flu & was in the very contagious stage, so had 2 miss first session so as 2 not expose others.
Robbie's sermons are great, but his alma mater is Miss State, a slight handicap!
