Our musicians provide the musical foundation for the worship experience of The MET. While we serve as support to the vocal teams, the musicians play a leading role in creating an environment and culture for worship and service. Our core values include calling, commitment, competence and confidence. If this describes you, consider serving in this challenging and deeply rewarding ministry environment.
Musicians currently rotate based on need and availability. Potential members are auditioned and are expected to be unified team players—partnering to accomplish a goal bigger than themselves.
Worship Band
The MET worship band consists of a rhythm section and horn section. The rhythm section includes drums, bass guitar, rhythm guitar, lead guitar and keyboards. The worship band is responsible for the foundational accompaniment. Musicians must be able to keep time to a click track and have the ability to play various grooves. They should have a good understanding of chord theory, be comfortable reading rhythm and chord charts, and be able to improvise as styles dictate. The MET horn section includes pop or jazz horn instrumentation utilizing the trumpet, trombone and sax. All musicians are auditioned and should be confident and comfortable.

Enter His Gates
Psalm 100:4-5 declares, Enter his gates with thanksgiving and his courts with praise; give thanks to him and praise his name. For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations.
This is where we find our inspiration for creating a worship environment the moment you walk into The MET. This is a unique opportunity for musicians of all instruments to participate in the instrumental arts. Musicians are coordinated by Joe Hoch.
