Dear Parents
It's finally here! I know the kids thought Promotion Sunday would never
arrive, but the extra weeks we gained by moving it to September 13 has
given us the time to renovate and upgrade both worship environments and
prepare for the launch of our new programming. Your child will not be
disappointed!
As
most of you are aware, with our new programming children in grades 1 -
6 will experience a healthy balance of both large and small group time
at each hour (8:15, 9:30 and 11:00). Instead of having one hour for
Worship and one hour for Life Groups, our kids will gather at the
beginning of each hour in one of their two respective Worship
environments. Grades 1 - 3 will be in C100 (The Ark) and grades 4 - 6
will be in T3 (Route 56). In those environments the kids will
experience a fun, high-energy and engaging time of worship and Bible
study for about 30 minutes. They will then dismiss with their Life
Group Teacher to their classroom for a time of further Bible study,
interaction, and relevant application for about 40 minutes.
It is important to note that there will be a change in the
drop-off/pick-up procedure from what you are currently used to. You
will now be dropping off your child in their large group Worship and
picking them up from their Life Group classroom. When your child's
nametag prints out, it will have two room numbers on it (example:
C100/C202:Falcons). The first number is the Worship environment they
will start out in and the second number is their Life Group classroom
they will end up in. If your child attends two services, their teacher
will escort them back to their Worship environment at the end of their
first service hour. To help facilitate this change for families, this
Sunday there will be Classroom Assignment Reminder cards at each
check-in station (including self check-in stations) for you to write
down your child's new room numbers after you check them in. Keep the
card with you as a reminder of where to pick them up.
Parents of children in grades 3 - 6 who do not want to pick their child
up from their classroom but instead wish to have their child released
to meet them at a prearranged location may fill out a Release form. An
"R" will then print out on their nametag. You may request a Release
form from any assisted check-in station or Guest Services.
If you have any questions, please don't hesitate to call or email the Children's Ministry offices. I can't wait to
see you Sunday when we embark on a new adventure together!
