Upcoming Women's Events
Common Ground
All the believers were together and had everything in common. (Acts 2:44)
A women’s night out for women to come, relax and “be.” Talk with friends, have some dessert and coffee, scrapbook your memories, laugh, join old friend or meet new ones for a game night.
Common Ground is a place designed to let you meet new friends and reconnect with familiar ones as we spend time doing some of our favorite things together. Some women play games, some scrapbook and some take time to catch up. You’ll receive inspiration and encouragement as you sit side-by-side with women who share your common interests. Whatever you do, come ready to share the company of other women. No childcare is provided.

MET MOPS
MOPS (Mothers of Preschoolers) is a place where moms of newborns through kindergartners can come to find encouragement, as well as fellowship, food and fun. Excellent child care is provided for the children while the moms meet to hear a speaker or complete a fun craft project. The speakers’ topics have been thoughtfully chosen to enhance knowledge in areas that are most important to moms. The craft projects give you a chance to learn a new skill and complete a project without a little person interrupting.
Each meeting includes small group discussion time where you can share ideas, reflect on the day's topics and get to know other moms. Each discussion group has a mentor mom – we call them Titus Women – who is there to encourage us, pray for us, and inspire us to be better moms. And, of course, there is always lots of great food and fun, prizes and giveaways.
The MET has 2 MOPS groups that meet on Friday mornings. One group meets on the first and third Friday of the month. We refer to this group as MOPS 1-3. The other group meets on the second and fourth Friday of the month. We refer to this group as MOPS 2-4.
MET MOPS offers a program for your child to attend while you are enjoying MOPS, called MOPPETS. This year, we are excited to be using a Veggie Tales curriculum for ages 3 and up. Child care is available for newborns through kindergarten. All preschool child care is staffed by paid, trained Christian teachers. For additional information on child care at The MET, please review the Child Care FAQ.
Online registration for MOPS is now closed; however you may contact Cathy Clarabut for information regarding MOPS registration.
Women's Spring Wednesday Morning Bible Studies
Wednesdays | 9:15 - 11:30 a.m.
Can We Talk? by Priscilla Shirer
Led by Vicki Bischoff | E303
This is a video-driven study on conversing with God. Priscilla shows you how your time in God’s Word can be a two-way conversation with the Father while developing your own conversations with God through Scripture. This study will be followed by another of Priscilla’s 6-week video-driven studies, One in a Million. This study looks into our personal walk with Jesus as we journey to our promised land. So many have settled for the mundane in our Christian walk and never experience His power or hear His voice…let’s take this trip together and experience the life He wants for each of us.
Creative Correction by Lisa Whelchel
Led by Richele Ramsey | E312
Lisa Welchel, offers a variety of creative ideas to help moms when time out and taking things away from their children seem to have lost their effectiveness. Her ideas are based on God’s Word. Lisa majors on pratical ways to build charcter in children by using scriptural truths and modeling ways that God corrects His children. She is a mother of three and homeschools her children. Come enjoy her sense of humor and keen insights as you laugh with her and learn from her. This study is a six-week video-driven study.
Do You Think I'm Beautiful? by Angela Thomas
Led by Susie Pipkin | E304
Each woman asks herself at one time or another…Do you think I’m beautiful? You will explore the secret longings of your heart and be invited to embrace the One who rejoices over you with singing and finds you unspeakably desirable. This study will be followed by When Wallflowers Dance by the same author. Angela explores how hurt and disappointment can blot out the beauty of a bold, vivacious woman; but God intends for you to dance the dance of your life in His lavish embrace. These are both video-driven six-week studies.
EBS: Gospel of Matthew
Led by Paula Stratton | E305
This is a 30-week study that began in the fall. Matthew is an extension of the history of the Jewish nation, the fulfillment of the blessing promised to Abraham, and the promised King coming in the lineage of David. Through this book we will bridge the gap between the Old and New Testaments as we explore the genealogy of Jesus, the real Jesus will be revealed, fully human and yet fully divine, the KING of kings and LORD of lords.
Ephesians followed by the book of James
Led by Joy Conaway | E313
This study began during the fall session but the study of Ephesians is ongoing and the study of James has yet to begin. If you need some practical advice on how to live this Christian life victoriously, this is the study for you. These two books from the New Testament written by the apostle Paul and the Lord’s brother, James, will give these answers. This in depth study of these two books will have its primary emphasis on application. Bring your Bible, a teachable spirit and a desire to grow in our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
The Inheritance by Beth Moore
Led by Vickie Velten | E306/309
This is 9-week topical study of inheritance throughout God’s Word. The key verse is Psalm 16:5-6: The lines have fallen for me in pleasant places; indeed, I have a beautiful inheritance. This study includes a listening guide for the DVD. This will be followed by a new study by Beth on the book of Revelation. It is also a video-driven study with homework assignments.
John
Led by Jean Anne Witty | E314
This is a 12-week study straight from God’s Word. You will see the Gospel of John through the lenses of the Jewish holidays and customs. Much of what Jesus said and did – which seems mysterious to us today – suddenly makes complete sense when we understand the rich symbolism behind the holidays and customs of ancient Israel. You will learn how the wedding feast, Passover, Hanukkah, to name a few, are pictures that point to Christ’s deity – His ministry, the cross, His resurrection, and even His second coming and future reign as King of kings and Lord of lords.
